Shore Stabilizers

Shore Stabilizers are designed to stabilize shorelines and minimize erosion risks.  Different structures are suited for different environments.  Traditional shoreline structures include bulkheads, jetties/groins and riprap (rock) revetments.

More recent trends involve "living shorelines".

When it comes to regulatory decisions regarding these structures, minimizing or avoiding resource losses is the highest priority so a properly designed project is crucial.  We suggest conferring with the local wetlands office when it comes to the planning process.  They offer the best solution suited for your particular area.  We can act as the agent on your behalf for you for a minimal fee.  Please see our Permits page for more details.
